Can we have your Autograph....

With two champions in the family I guess we need to start
asking - can we have your autograph?
Congrats girls on your wins. We are proud at how hard you have
worked. I guess all that practicing pays off. Thanks for a great
ball season.

CHAMPIONSHIP PHOTOS

Here are the Champions with their trophies and the division trophy!

Kaylee and Autumn (whom have been playing in Hallie together
since they began T-Ball) and then Autumn and Tonya one last
time.

And the Winner is......CHICKADEES

Here they are all lined up waiting to receive their 1st place
trophies. They were all excited and played like real champions!
Congratulations Chickadees!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here Autumn was up to receive her trophy from coach Tonya

Of course, I had to get a close up of Aut with that trophy!

Tonya has accepted the Championship Trophy on behalf of the Chickadees.

WAY TO GO CHICKADEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hallie Youth Days.... Modified Pitch Style

The girls in the dug out right before the game was about to begin -
Autumn, Kaylee & Sarah

Autumn up to bat - we all agreed that it doesn't seem like she has grown at
all since last season?!

Autumn is the catcher - it is very nerve racking when it is your child behind that plate.

I had to get at least one pic of her on a base and actually she did hit a double today.

HALLIE YOUTH DAYS.... T-BALL STYLE

Ambrea up to bat - check out that stance!!
She's out there on 3rd base. She had some very good plays today!!!!
Here they are all lined up and anxious to get their hands on
their well deserved trophies. Good job ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ambrea is standing in front of her trophy as the other team is accepting theirs.
Unfortunately, we were missing one little player-Maddie G, but I have her trophy.
Technically, they took second but as we all know they are all champions!! I tried
to get a nice group shot, but my camera froze. So I will have to get that from one
of our other friends.

WAY TO GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Food Plotting....

It begins......starting to get everything ready for the fall hunt. We
planted the second food plot out in the woods behind the house this evening.
Dave had planted the front food plot this past weekend and I did
not attend that planting. But since we did not have any children
tonight I was asked to come along to see what he does. I believe he
is trying something different food this year to see how it goes over.
The deer that tend to come through seem to be a bit spoiled and
we try and figure out what it they like. We will see how it looks in a
couple of weeks. I believe the next steps are scouting and stand placement.
I have to help as I will be hunting this fall. I am actually looking forward to it
and being able to go right out the back door is always a plus.

An Absolute Must Have....

There are just some things we can not live with out. For me, it just happens to be either a Diet Coke or Coke. I have to have one in the morning as soon as I get to work. It is like my coffee. If you know me, then you know that I don't really drink coffee, but I do have to say, in the fall and winter I do drink a bit more (I like going out on the deck to drink it in the morning) Anyways, I just wanted to take a picture of something that was my favorite. Are you wondering about the Tab can - that's just in there because its what people call me. Personally, can't stand the taste - don't try it - Really!!!

Raspberries.....

Over at my grandmothers there is a raspberry patch that every year has great raspberries. Well, since there has been some nice little rain showers on and off it has produced an amazing amount of raspberries. Grandma believes is one of the best berry patch she has ever had. Ambrea, loves to go over and help grandma pick them. This afternoon, I went out and was taking some pictures and grandma thought it was her out there and wanted to hand over a bucket to start picking and then realized it was me crouched down. She said I could come back and pick as long as Ambrea was with. I see where I rate! Anyways, she continues to tell me that Ambrea is just the right height to see all those berries that she misses or can't quite reach. She also enjoys Ambrea's company. I think that is so sweet! I will have to be sure and get those two in a picture together. By the way, my grandma makes some darn good raspberry jam!

Our View Right Now....

When you look out from our back window you will see an amazing
view of the corn field all the way out to the bike trail along the back
side of those trees. I could not resist walking into the field
and taking a few shots of the corn. Corny (ha! ha!), I know, but being out
here is surreal at times. It is quiet and there is something about the
sound of some wind hitting the stalks and being right in the middle of it.

Let's play ball.....

Take us out to the ball game Autumn!!!! This is just part of what we do on our summer evenings! We watch Autumn play coaches pitch softball and she loves it. She has been improving on her hitting and catching. Although she prefers to be by the pitcher, she was caught here playing catcher - its okay to play there she says, but Kaylee (Frenette) likes it a whole lot better. I told her that you all move around so that everybody gets experience. We do see her play at short stop quite a bit and that is where her daddy played in his ball career. I guess she is just following in his shoes. Ambrea also plays on a t-ball team and she is enjoying herself as well. She tells us that whenever Autumn is playing she wishes she could just be out there playing too. I think we are destined to have two ball players in our family.

Northern WI State Fair...

The girls are taking in some rides this year. They have graduated off of the kiddie rides and Autumn was loving it. If she thought one us boring she let her dad know immediately. They did get dad to go on one of them as they were just a bit short. Ambrea was talked into going on the mega loop and when it started gone upside down she had enough. Needless to say, she did not continue to go on those type of rides. Autumn, on the other hand, went on the mega loop three more times by herself. She also wanted to on the Fire Ball, but they started to get rained on and that was the end of the fair. Dad said they were pooped by the time they hit the car. Another successful year at the fair.

And the winners are....

The girls were excited to find their work displayed at the fair this year. Autumn won second place on her WI map. Nana had called to tell us that she also won a 1st place on her Neighborhood story. The girls didn't even catch that one, but Dave and I found it on Saturday night. Ambrea had submitted a color contest for the Safety Management and out of a 100 entries she won 3rd place. Congratulations girls!!!

Aunt Linda's B-Day.....

We headed over to Aunt Linda's for her birthday after Nicole and I took the girls to the public pool. Where I think they at least went down the slide 20 times each - good leg strength I guess. Anyways, uncle Craig had bought some outside games for all to play. Autumn and Ambrea played with the fun roller for quite some time and Nicole and Aunt Linda felt the need to try it out as well and needless to say somethings are just better left undone. Ambrea enjoyed a game of Tether ball with Aunt Linda and then after supper my dad, Linda, Nicole, Nathan and the girls played a fun game of Croquet. No one got hurt -always a worry with me- when the girls have something in their hands that could possibly be used on each other- its always a worry. Dave was gone playing ball in Chetek so he missed out on all the fun.

Independance Day....

Happy Birthday America!!! Today was a great day, full of different things to do for the Olsons. First the girls and daddy took Papa Olson out fishing in the boat. I believe there was a little competition between daddy and papa, but what do I know (LOL!) We took the girls down to the park and seen the Reneissance King & Queen dressed in their formals. They stopped to talk to us and even gave us admission tickets to go again! The girls thought that was great and loved talking with them. Our next stop was LaGrander's for some lunch and Root Beer in frosted mugs! Ambrea thought it was neat that the root beer stays cold with all that ice on the outside of the mug! Always thinking! We then went to a ball game in Chetek to watch Dave play with a bunch of his buddies from the Burley team - Yes - he came out of retirement and the girls were all worried that he would forget how to play, or even hurt himself. He ended up sliding and came out with a scrapped knee and Ambrea said he needed to get that washed up and put a band aid on it! She was concerned. Then we headed home and bought a portable fire pit so that we could set up in our back yard to watch the fire works! The girls were ohhing and ahhing over the fireworks as they were jumping on the trampoline and Dave and I sat out and watched the fire. The best part of that night was not having to pack up and go anywhere and we were together.

What we saw....

As we were leaving the lake (because it started to rain after ten minutes that we were there - we just fished from shore) we got to see some beautiful things. One of them being this buck in velvet. He just stayed right there and watched us as we drove slow to take him all in. I love seeing them in their natural surroundings and then to be able to get a pic is even better. Then as we left we got to see double rainbows. My pic didn't pick up the second one, but it was really faint. Still I love to hear the girls when they see a rainbow and then Ambrea says "mom, dad, did you know there is a pot of gold at the end of it?" Love that!

Fishy, Fishy.....

We left the wedding and headed out for a little fishing time. Autumn caught the first fish with dad's help. I helped Ambrea catch her fish, but it came with a lot of "I want to catch a fish, why can't you get me a fish -mom." Always ranking second when dad is helping out and they get the first catch of the day. And then there is me with my catch. Of course, I had to ask for someone to take my pic, but if that's what it takes then so be it. Not sure who's is the biggest, but we all caught one.
